Back To The Roots: Two New-Yorkers Take To Portugal For A Bussaco Palace Summer Wedding | Portugal Wedding Photographer

New York born and raised Andrea + Christian met each other in high school at 14. The moment they met she knew that they would be more than friends. “We’ve lived in New York most of our life but Andrea’s family is from the Norte region in Portugal”, Christian said smilingly as he explained why they choose Bussaco as their wedding destination. On the day of their wedding, the guests arrived at the mountain range of Serra do Buçaco to drinks in the mythical Buçaco Palace Hotel, an ancient convent turned hotel in Neo-Manueline style. For the ceremony she choose a floor-length dress by Galia Lahav paired with sparkling heels by Manolo Blahnik. “I knew it was love for life when he flew out to LA from New York to pick up my new dog to surprise me”,  she beamed during their vows. After Christian and Andrea were officially announced husband and wife, the guests poped over to the gardens for a Portuguese style reception followed by a Fado accompanied dinner. When the festivities ended deep in the night, the duo escaped to tropical Costa Rica for a mini-moon.
